Bearings
Duramax Marine
Johnson Cutless bearings are engineered with a proprietary formulation of extremely tough chemical and oil resistant nitrile rubber polymer lining, molded and firmly bonded into a naval brass or non-metallic shell. Grooves run the entire length of the rubber lining allowing for maximum lubricating water flow and dissipation of frictional heat.
Cip Composites
Designed for water lubricated applications, CIP (ID) grooved bearings are environmentally friendly and ideal in fresh or salt water environments. The axial grooves running down the ID surface provide water flow and lubrication to the bearing allowing for high speed applications and provide a hydrodynamic operation for long life and very low friction.
Naval Brass Sleeve Bearings
These Naval Brass Sleeve Bearings adapt equally well to strut and stern tube mounts, and often used effectively as rudder-stock and pintle bushings.
Non-Metallic Sleeve Bearings
These Non Metallic Sleeve Bearings feature a structure of engineered reinforced thermoset plastic. The nitrile rubber polymer liner that is bonded to shell, is non-corrosive and inherently resistant to chemicals, oil and grease, as well as being anti-electrolytic.
Strut or Aft Stern Tube Flanged Bearings
Flanged Bearings are centrifugally cast naval brass with an integral flange for bolting to stern tube or strut housing to retain bearing and prevent rotation in housing. Shells are heavy walled providing structural strength and can be step turned if desired. Shells are furnished un-drilled unless specified.
Forward Stern Tube Split Flanged Bearings
Split styles offer ease of installation and change. Shells are heavy walled providing structural strength and can be step turned if desired. Flanged Bearings are centrifugally cast naval brass featuring heavy metal wall and integral flange. Integral flange permits solid bolting of bearing to stern tube stuffing box.
Duramax Greaseless Rudder Bushing
DuraBlue is a self lubricated composite bushing designed for use in highly loaded oscillatory applications such as found in rudder, pintle and stearing gear assemblies. DuraBlue needs no lubrication and is exceptionally wear resistant with an extremely long wear life. It has a low coefficient of friction value of 0.1 to 0.2, resulting in no stick-slip during operation.
DuraBlue Stern Tube Bearings
DuraBlue water-lubricated stern tube bearings are manufactured using a unique synthetic reinforced composite that incorporates solid lubricants for superior operation and outstanding wear life in blue water applications. The composite resin matrix was designed to withstand the rigors of seawater operation and frictional heat generated when used in stern tube propulsion systems.
